Help us give to those who need it the most

Dear Friends, Family and Supporters of the Alpha Uganda family.

We have been working hard, because of You. Thank you so, so much for believing with me that we can make a difference.

BIG UPDATE!

Over the last few weeks the Alpha team has been partnering with Unicef to register 1000’s of children and their mothers with the National Identification Registration Agency (NIRA). This is one small but very important step in helping the Alpha Project combat the systemic and horrific trafficking of the Karamojong children.

Since 2012, when we began in the slums of Katwe with the women of the Karamojong (Ngikarimojong) tribe, our numbers have grown from 50 women led households (or approximately 250 people with each woman having an average of 5 children) to 250+ women led households equaling roughly 1,250 women and children that are direct beneficiaries of the Alpha Uganda. That is a growth increase of 400%.

We may feel overwhelmed at times, but even after the fires that destroyed the slum last year we have been able to help families rebuild their makeshifts to have a roof over their heads and shelter from cold. We’ve been able to rehome women and children, provide clean water, food and menstrual health and hygiene products for the women and teen girls. We are not working alone, and God is moving powerfully through our mission to touch the ones the world is most likely to forget.

Support our well needed
Christmas Box fundraiser

We are currently raising $2,500 to continue our work. Our next goal is to provide our 250 families of women and children with their much needed Annual Christmas Boxes! Their Christmas Box contains food, hygiene products and other items to help them feel safe and cared for this season.

Once again, thank you for sharing your overflow, whether you are making a small or large donation your help matters so much and the women and children in the Alpha Uganda family are so grateful for you.
